Outlook and Hotmail affected by crash across Europe

If it has been extra hard to send and receive emails monday, maybe there is a good explanation.
Microsoft's free email services Outlook and Hotmail have been broken down all over Europe.
The crash has prevented users from sending and receiving emails for 12 hours, writes the news agency Reuters.
The crash started at 09.20 Danish time and has affected users across Europe in the 12 hours. It writes Microsoft in a message on their Office 365 page.
Microsoft announces that you are working to resolve the issue and that an update will be released.
"We continue our investigation to determine the source of this problem and identify the possibilities for security recovery," Microsoft states.
The crash has hit users in Great Britain and Spain.
But other crashes are also reported across Europe.
